My emotions are connected to my wise intuitive heart.  My emotions help me navigate my human experience.  It is up to me to direct my emotions in a mature and spiritual manner to have the happiest and easiest life.  When I feel sad, mad, or upset in anyway it is because some need of mine is not being met.  It is up to me to figure out what need of mine is not being met and find a way to get that need of mine met.  Today I will discover ways to befriend my emotions.  Since the best way to make a friend is to listen to  that friend, I will listen to my emotions.  
When I am feeling upset I take a moment to check in with myself.  What need of mine have I been ignoring?  When was the last time I ate a balanced meal?  How good of a night sleep did I get?  When was the last time I had a good heart to heart with a trusted friend?  I spend some time really thinking about what I need to be content.  If I am breathing I am capable of changing my life.  
The best way to master my emotions is by connecting to my wise intuitive heart.  My heart is my seat of power.  My heart sends more information through my vagus nerve bundle to my brain than my brain sends to my heart.  I practice trusting my heart today.  Even if I feel silly I ask my heart what it needs and wait patiently.  
I am a tranquil child of Universal Love and Universal Love knows I am capable of befriending my emotions.
