Affirmation, Gratitude and The Reticular Activating System

Vlog #73 Gratitude, Affirmation and The Reticular Activating System stimulate a response of gratitude and explores how to prime our Reticular Activating System.

Today’s Affirmation; I, _________, (insert your name here to guide your Reticular Activating System) choose to invest time training my Reticular Activating System by focusing on positive aspects of my life. When I was preparing for the Canadian Citizenship test, part of the training for me, was to keep reminding myself that taking tests is one of my strong suits, reinforcing the idea with the hopes of priming my Reticular Activating System so it would help me to pass the test. It seems to have worked since I got 19 right out of 20 on the test, passing with flying colours. What is a Reticular Activating System you ask? It is the part of our brain stem that filters out what is important to us. The best way to orient my Reticular Activating System is by influencing my mind with constructive thoughts. The more I focus on the parts of my life that bring me joy the more joy my Reticular Activating System finds for me to notice, embrace and enjoy. Thank you for joining my in creating joy in our world. Thank you for priming your Reticular Activating System to notice the Love in your life. I Love YOU. <3 :~)

This is the part of the brain that filters out incoming information helping me get what I focus on. :~)

Today I am grateful for a sunny dry day to set up our booth for the Duncan Farmers Market, we had a great spot right in the Duncan City Square, saw lots of friends, sold a few pairs of earrings and enjoyed the man who plays the accordion, for the many remedies that are available to cure the hot flashes and evening adventures into sleep deprivation, it will be my pleasure to announce with glee when I find the remedy that works for me, LOL LOL LOL and for the feedback it was my delight to receive, that when I connected the amazing Chip Nary from Happy Zak’s Handyman Service with Daphne a new friend, I made at the Duncan Farmers Market, who needs a bunch of help with her home, so when I talked to her today it was awesome to hear Daphne rave about how perfect Chip Nary was to help her with her home repair projects. My heart sings when I connect people who help each other. What makes your heart sing? Thank you for being here with me today. Thank you for exploring an adventure in gratitude today. I Love YOU.   :~)
