Connecting To My Vagus Nerve

My Vagus Nerve is the biggest nerve in my entire body. My Vagus Nerve controls my lungs, liver, stomach, GI tract, heart, spleen, Dorsal Motor Nucleus and lastly the Vagal Ganglia. Because the Vagus Nerve controls so many parts of my body it is capable of managing my digestion, my breathing, my cardiovascular system and many of my senses. When me and my Vagus Nerve are not connected I can have many problems because my Vagus Nerve connects to so many important bodily functions. Instead of being at the mercy of my Vagus Nerve I shall find ways to calm and comfort my Vagus Nerve so that I am the happy and helpful person I am.

It is empowering to learn I have a bit of control over my Vagus Nerve by practicing the time tested art of deep breathing. By choosing to spend ten to twenty minutes a day deep breathing I am becoming the boss of my Vagus Nerve. There are many ways to deep breathe one way I can start is to breathe in for six counts and then breathe out for seven counts. Breathing in and out through the nose is best. I can be sitting or lying down whatever is most comfortable for me. Imagining I am breathing in and out through my heart helps me connect to my Vagus Nerve as well.

My cardiovascular system, my digestive system, my sensory systems and my liver are all overjoyed when I am connected to my Vagus Nerve. Being the master of my Vagus Nerve means I can calm myself when I really need to compose myself. Giving myself the gift of overcoming my troubling emotions is the best present I could ever have. Each time I feel my emotions well up in my Vagus Nerve my breathing practice kicks in and I am able to feel my Vagus Nerve relax, my stomach settles and my heart beats normally once again.

I am elated when I am able to connect to my Vagus Nerve! My Vagus Nerve is my friend. My Vagus Nerve longs for me to instruct it with my breath, to focus my attention on what I am able to manage and to accept that since I give good, I will receive good. When I learn to work with my Vagus Nerve I am relaxed, calm and content.

I am a capable child of Universal Love and Universal Love is enthusiastic when I master my Vagus Nerve.
