Today’s Affirmation; I, Stephanie, (insert your name here if you like) appreciate my relationship with my family. I have had times in the long past when I did not speak to my family at all for three years to now when I speak to my mom every Sunday morning on Skype. It has been so healing to reconnect to my family once I had healed and honoured my inner self. I now have the healthiest relationship I have ever had with my mom as we have mutual respect for one another. It was wonderful to see my mom last December as I was grounded in a loving marriage, and able to see my mom as innocent child she is, under all the physical pain she endures daily. I rejoiced in our emotional interactions as I know who I am now, I understand my emotional responses and temper them with the emotional intelligence skills I have been honing for decades. I changed my responses to my mom and found peace in the present.
Today I am grateful for being able to stop the repetitive negative thoughts in my mind of worry or frustration through breathing techniques, listening to the worry to see if it comes from something in my present life or does it come from some far away traumatic memory of my past, once I have listened to me, I comfort me as I would a small child with reassuring words and I feel more grounded, for my ability to meditate anytime I feel stressed to create in me a feeling of connection to source energy and for my ability to let forgive, be detached from the emotional baggage of others and see every situation as another opportunity to love. Thank you for your precious moments spent here. Thank you for sharing your emotions with me. I Love You. ♥ :~)
